Vintage and Pre-Owned Items

All items sold by Find Missing Pieces are pre-owned, vintage, antique, or previously loved goods. That means they are not new, factory-fresh, or expected to be in perfect modern retail condition.

Signs of age and use are normal and may include light scratching, flea bites, crazing, utensil marks, shelf wear, rough edges, trim wear, manufacturing bubbles, mold marks, minor imperfections, and age-related variation.

These characteristics are often part of what makes vintage glass, antique dishware, retro glassware, mid-century glass, Depression glass, and collectible glassware unique.

Honest Descriptions and Photos

Every effort is made to describe items honestly and photograph them clearly. Photos are part of the description, and buyers are responsible for reviewing all listing images, measurements, and item details before purchasing.

Please keep in mind that color, clarity, fluorescence, glow, and fine detail may look slightly different depending on lighting, screen settings, flash, blacklight, camera limitations, and display devices. Measurements are approximate.

Identification and Age

Any statement about maker, pattern, era, age, material, origin, style, or glass type is based on good-faith research, experience, comparison, and visual inspection.

These descriptions are not guarantees, appraisals, or certifications unless a listing specifically says so. No item is guaranteed to have a particular resale value, collector value, rarity level, or investment value.

Use, Care, and Safety

Vintage and antique glassware may not meet modern standards for labeling, materials, durability, or intended use.

Unless a listing specifically states otherwise, do not assume an item is food-safe, drink-safe, lead-free, cadmium-free, uranium-free, child-safe, dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, oven-safe, freezer-safe, heat-safe, or suitable for daily use.

Many pieces sold here are best suited for display, collecting, light decorative use, or careful buyer-determined use. The buyer is fully responsible for deciding how an item will be used, cleaned, tested, displayed, or stored after purchase.

Uranium Glass, Vaseline Glass, Depression Glass, and Glowing Glass

Some vintage glass items commonly described as uranium glass, Vaseline glass, canary glass, custard glass, glowing glass, UV-reactive glass, fluorescent glass, and certain Depression glass or Depression-era glass may contain uranium or other historic materials used in older glassmaking.

These items may glow under UV or blacklight, vary in color, glow, and composition from piece to piece, register above normal background levels on a radiation meter, or contain trace or measurable historic materials used in vintage glass production.

Not every green, yellow, glowing, fluorescent, or Depression-era glass item contains uranium, and not every item tests the same.

Unless a listing specifically says otherwise, no item is guaranteed to be lab tested, radiation tested, composition tested, lead tested, cadmium tested, food-safe, safe for serving or storage, or suitable for everyday kitchen use.

Items sold as uranium glass, Vaseline glass, glowing glass, fluorescent glass, collectible glass, antique glassware, or certain Depression-era glass are offered primarily as collectible and decorative pieces.

By purchasing these items, the buyer accepts full responsibility for any decision to test, handle, display, use, store, or keep them around food, drink, children, pets, or other property.

Materials Disclaimer

Some vintage glassware, crystal, stemware, barware, decanters, painted glass, colored glass, collectible kitchenware, and antique glass may contain historic materials such as lead, cadmium, selenium, manganese, uranium, or other older pigments, finishes, or additives.

Find Missing Pieces does not guarantee that any vintage item is free from these materials unless that specific listing clearly says so in writing.

Fragility and Breakage

Vintage glass can be delicate. Hidden stress, age, prior use, temperature change, impact, washing, stacking, soaking, scrubbing, and ordinary handling can all affect durability.

Find Missing Pieces is not responsible for breakage, cracking, chipping, fading, clouding, or other damage that happens after delivery.

One-of-a-Kind Inventory

Most items are one of a kind. Placing an item in your cart or sending a message about it does not reserve it.

An order is not final until checkout is completed and payment is successfully received. Orders may be canceled and refunded if an item becomes unavailable, is found to have been listed in error, or is damaged before shipment.

Shipping and Transit

Items are packed with care, but once a package is in the hands of the carrier, shipping delays, rough handling, routing errors, and transit problems are outside the control of Find Missing Pieces.

Any shipping issue, damage claim, return request, or delivery concern is subject to the shop policies in effect at the time of purchase.

Custom Hunt Requests

Requests for a pattern, replacement piece, missing piece, uranium glass item, Vaseline glass piece, antique glass item, or other vintage collectible are always welcome, but they do not create an obligation to locate an item, hold an item, or complete a future sale.

Third-Party Services

Payment processing, shipping services, communications tools, hosting platforms, and similar services may be provided by third parties. Find Missing Pieces is not responsible for outages, delays, errors, or policy changes caused by those services.

No Warranties

All items and all website content are provided as is and as available to the fullest extent allowed by law.

This includes no warranty of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, safety for food or drink use, suitability for display or functional use, authenticity beyond the good-faith description provided, or future collector or resale value.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Find Missing Pieces is not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or claim arising from use of this website, reliance on descriptions, photos, or tags, purchase or use of any item, cleaning, display, storage, testing, or handling of any item, breakage after delivery, use of vintage glassware for food, drink, or household purposes, alleged exposure to historic materials, shipping delays or carrier mishandling, or third-party services or interruptions.

If any claim does arise, maximum liability is limited to the purchase price actually paid for the specific item involved.

All original photos, descriptions, branding, listing text, and creative content on this website belong to Find Missing Pieces and may not be copied, reused, republished, or distributed without written permission.
